FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW LONG WOULD WE HAVE YOU FOR ON THE DAY? WHAT DO YOU COVER?
I can offer a range of coverage options (including a second professional photographer) but my preference is to cover the entire day, from bridal preparations to shortly after the first dance. This tells the complete story, from the calm before the storm, to the big event, to the evening do, and means your wedding album has an appropriate beginning, middle and end.
WILL WE MEET YOU IN PERSON BEFORE THE BIG DAY?
I always like to meet up with any couple who book me to photograph their wedding before the big day itself, so we can get to know each other and discuss the plan for the day. It helps break the ice and means you are familiar with me before I turn up on the morning of your wedding wielding a camera. If a physical meeting isn’t possible due to distance then we can set up a video call via Skype – I’ve done this many times and it works well. Likewise if at any time after booking me you need to ask any questions or inform me of changes then I will always be available for a chat. I consider it a privilege to be asked to document an event as important as a wedding, and part of my job is to be there to help in any way I can on the run up to your wedding day.
ARE YOU INSURED?
Yes, I have full public liability and indemnity insurance. If by some freak occurrence I get struck by a lightning bolt that sends me flailing wildly face first into the bonnet of the Rolls Royce Phantom you booked to take you to and from the church*, my insurance policy will cover the repair costs, whilst I brush myself down and carry on like nothing happened.
*It is highly unlikely this will happen.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOUR CAMERA EQUIPMENT FAILS?
I have three professional camera bodies and enough lenses, flashes and associated gubbins to cover all eventualities, so even if the worst were to happen I would just grab my other camera or swap lenses and keep shooting.
WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU FALL ILL ON THE DAY OF OUR WEDDING?
I’m happy to say this has never happened, and I would have to have a limb hanging off or something equally serious to not be able to cover a wedding I’ve been booked for. But if the unthinkable were to happen I have built up a network of skilled, experienced, professional photographers over the years who I could call upon to step in and cover the day in a similar style, should the need arise.
WHEN CAN WE EXPECT TO RECEIVE OUR WEDDING PHOTOS?
I will upload your final, individually edited photographs to a private viewing gallery on my website around 3 weeks after the wedding, with high resolution copies being supplied via a digital download shortly afterwards.
THAT ALL SOUNDS GREAT. HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
The price will depend on the length of coverage required and the location of your wedding, but my standard rate for a wedding in or around Oxfordshire is £1095 for 10 hours coverage. Please get in touch so we can discuss your plans and work something out.
