KATIE-JANE WHITLOCK : HAIR STYLIST EXTRAORDINAIRE

 

Katie-Jane Whitlock is an Oxfordshire based bridal and theatrical hair stylist, as well as a good (and long-suffering) friend of mine.  She asked me to accompany her and our wonderful model, Tasha, to the gardens of Blewbury Manor to take some photos for her website.

This was a really fun shoot. Despite the fact both myself and Kate are incredibly professional and passionate about what we do, whenever we work together we tend to spend quite a lot of time laughing hysterically and bickering like schoolchildren. On this occasion we were doing rather well at keeping it all together until a gaggle of wild geese turned up and took a shine to Tasha, who (quite rightly) has a deep-seated fear of these hateful, winged creatures from hell. Like troopers, we continued and got the job done. Some less terrifying encounters with Blewbury wildlife included a chance sighting of a muntjac and the fleeting appearance of a heron, but neither seemed keen on having their portrait taken.
